As the weather begins to get warmer and the get days longer, many of us are venturing into the great outdoors. Whether off on holiday, a bike ride or a relaxing picnic in the park, the food we eat can really make or break our spring-time excursions.
Spring is one of the best times of year for seasonal produce and apricots are a must have this time of year! The apricot season is fairly short, however, with St. Dalfour Apricot Preserve you can enjoy the flavour of apricots all year round.
Made using an old French recipe, delicious apricots are gently cooked with fruit juice concentrate to conserve the natural flavour of the fruit. Made 100% from fruit, with no cane sugar, artificial preservatives or colours, St. Dalfour Apricot Preserve is also gluten free and incredibly versatile.
You can use St. Dalfour Apricot Preserve to enhance both sweet and savoury dishes!
Another favourite this time of year is, of course, spring lamb! Due to the change in weather, the vegetation the lambs graze on is much more varied, leading to more flavoursome and tender meat.
There are many lamb dishes we at St. Dalfour are sure will get your taste buds tingling, but as its Spring, why not combine the two ingredients which both happen to be in their prime? Apricots and Lamb!
We suggest a delicious lamb tagine with apricots and dates! This slow cooked pot of delight allows its contents to merge into one tender, juicy dinner the whole family will enjoy!
