Wimbledon is well and truly underway, as a new sense of optimism builds that a Brit will win the competition for the first time since Andy Murray back in 2016, and Virginia Wade back in 1977!

Tennis aside, Wimbledon provides the lucky few with tickets some great food. Delicious meat and seafood, tantilising desserts, and some amazingly inventive vegan dishes. However, despite all this culinary excellence, there’s one dish which always captures the essence of Wimbledon, and what it means to be British… Strawberries and Cream!

Two simple ingredients which when married, create a taste sensation. Back in 2021, we wrote a blog in which we came up with some great recipe ideas using strawberries and cream. Well, despite the varied options provided, we thought we could do even better. Below are some more delicious recipe ideas, inspired by our favourite Wimbledon classic!

Cool Strawberry & Cream Terrine

This creamy twist on a traditional terrine is a great dessert for summer! Simply fold some cream cheese, sugar and St. Dalfour Strawberry Preserve into a bowl before transferring to a terrine dish. Allow to set in the freezer and enjoy!

Delectable Strawberry & Cream Shortbread

Is there really anything better than freshly baked shortbread biscuits, fresh cream and the tangy sweetness of strawberries? Why not bake some delicious shortbread of your own and fill with freshly whipped cream and some delicious St. Dalfour preserve. The best thing is, you can make this delicious recipe with any of our fruit preserves!

Refreshing Strawberry and Cream Frappuccino

This modern coffee shop classic really does make the most of the summer season! Simply blend together vanilla ice cream, ice, and some St. Dalfour Strawberry Preserve. Top with freshly whipped cream and a coulis using a little extra fruit preserve.
