Perfect pancakes and their perfect match

St. Dalfour fruit spreads are the perfect match for pancakes. Use the trusted recipe below for delicious pancakes that are perfect at any time of the year. St. Dalfour’s 100% from fruit spreads are a delicious alternative to some of the more traditional accompaniments.

110g plain flour
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
200ml milk mixed with 75ml water
50g butter


  1. Sift flour and salt into large mixing bowl
  2. Make a well in the centre and break the eggs into it
  3. Beat the mixture, gradually adding the milk/water mix
  4. Whisk until smooth and creamy then leave to rest for 30 mins
  5. Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan; whisk 1 tbsp into the batter and pour rest into a dish
  6. Heat frying pan then dip a piece of kitchen roll in the melted butter and use to grease
  7. When frying pan is really hot, add a ladle of the batter mixture (enough to cover the base of the pan)
  8. As soon as the batter hits the hot pan, tilt and roll the pan so the base is evenly coated
  9. When golden underneath, flip the pancake over with a spatula/palette knife
  10. Once both sides are cooked, slide the pancake onto a plate
  11. Stack the pancakes between sheets of greaseproof paper as you make them and keep warm
