Perfect Brie & Bacon Pastries

These perfect pastries combine salty bacon and brie with a touch of sweetness from St. Dalfour’s French Grape preserve. This has to be one of the simplest yet most satisfying and tasty recipes.

1 box of ready rolled puff pastry

1 pack of streaky bacon

1 chunk of brie

1 jar St. Dalfour French Grape Preserve

1 large egg


Preheat your oven to 180C

Gently fry the bacon in a pan

Roll out the pastry and cut into 6 or 9 pieces

Spread a spoon of St. Dalfour French Grape Preserve across the diagonal of the pastry

Add a slice or two of brie and a rasher of bacon (cut in half if too long)

Lightly beat the egg then egg wash the corners of the pastry

Fold two pastry corners over each other to make a diamond shape, with most of the filling covered

Place the pastries on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper

Egg wash the pastry tops and pop in the oven

Bake for 15-20 mins until golden brown and pastry cooked through
