Orange & Ginger Pancakes

Pancake Day is approaching! We thought you needed a new treat to sweeten-up pancake day. Here’s a unique twist on the classic recipe with the addition of some St. Dalfour Preserve!

For the batter

200g Flour

1 egg

250 ml milk

1/2 tsp ground ginger

Zest of 1/2 an orange

Pinch of salt

For the topping

4 tbsp crème fraise

St. Dalfour Orange & Ginger Preserve


Sift flour and salt into a mixing bowl and make a well in the middle

Add the egg and stir in the flour gradually from the sides

Add milk a little at a time

When half the milk is used all of the flour should be moistened

Beat well to smooth and lighten

Add remainder of milk gradually mixing constantly

Set aside for an hour before use

Using a large table spoon, shallow fry the batter in either butter or spray oil

Flip pancake over once bubbles begin to appear on upright surface

Once cooked allow to cool before adding the crème fraise and St. Dalfour Orange & Ginger Preserve to your required amount
