Ingredients
1 jar St. Dalfour Apple & Cinnamon
3 large cooking apples
100g granulated sugar
150g plain flour (also works well with gluten-free flour)
30g demerara sugar
A handful of walnuts
75g salted butter, softened
Method
For the crumble topping:
Combine butter and sugar together using a wooden spoon
Add the demerara sugar until the mixture starts to form breadcrumbs
Add crumbled walnuts to the mixture and set to one side
For the filling:
Chop your cooking apples
Gently simmer on a medium heat with some water until the apples have softened
Drain off any excess liquid and add a jar of the St. Dalfour Apple & Cinnamon Spread
Add the apple filling to the bottom of your dish
Cover the cooked apples in the crumble topping
Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 180 ̊C
Serve with custard, ice cream or cream and enjoy!
