There are few better ways to end a stressful day or kick off the weekend than with a glass of your favourite Gin.
Gin is one of the most versatile spirits on the market with countless variations and flavour profiles all deriving from the simple juniper berry. Given the juniper berry has a naturally sharp taste, more often than not, gins are paired with sweet fruits in order to balance the intensity of the berry.
This got us thinking. Could you improve the flavour of your Gin with the addition of a little St. Dalfour?
Answer: Yes! And the best thing is, it’s so simple!
How to create a St. Dalfour Ginfusion:
Step 1: Buy a bottle of your favourite gin, or simply use what you have left in the house.
Step 2: Add 100ml of gin to a cocktail shaker. If you do not have a cocktail shaker, why not use an empty St. Dalfour jar?
Step 3: Add a tablespoon of your favourite St. Dalfour preserve to the gin and close the lid on your cocktail shaker or jar.
Step 4: Shake! (The jar that is) for a good 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once suitably shaken, leave on the side for at least 24 hours top allow the fruity St. Dalfour preserve to perfectly infuse with the gin.
Step 5: Add the tonic of your choice and serve over ice with a slice of lemon.
This simple recipe can be enjoyed with any of our vast range of preserves.
